Ducati 916 Biposto 1996

Ducati 916 Biposto 1996

My first 916 Biposto made in 1996. The 916 first reached buyers in 1994 but that was the culmination of a process that had seen the bike unveiled to a stunned press the previous autumn after several years of development under the guiding hand of Massimo Tamburini, who was responsible not only for the aesthetic decisions but also the technical choices that made the 916 stand out from the competition.

The 916 is frequently cited as one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever.

Featuring a 916 cc fuel injected, 4-valve desmo, liquid-cooled, 90° V-twin engine, 114.00 hp @ 9000 rpm, 6 speed, dry weight 204 kg in a trellis frame with a single-sided swingarm and USD forks.
